The Bhimakali Temple Sarahan Shimla Himachal Pradesh is one of the oldest and grand temples of the mythological period. This temple is at a distance of 180 km from Shimla and is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. This is the best place to visit in Himachal. Sarahan is about 30 kilometers away from Rampur Bushahr.
The route for Sarahan starts from a small town called Jyuri, 17 kilometers from Rampur. This place is also known for its natural beauty with religious faith, Sarahan is considered to be the gateway to Kinnaur.
The beauty of this place enchants nature lovers. The Srikhand Mahadev peak is visible from Sarahan. That is known as the abode of Lord Shiva. This temple has a very unique style, it is a mix of Hindu and Buddhist styles. This temple is around 1000 to 2000 years old.

According to a legend, the information about the manifestation of the Goddess comes from the incidence of sacrifice, when the ear of Sati fell on this place and became a place of worship in the form of a place of worship.
Currently, the symbol of this eternal goddess as a virgin is preserved on the top floor of the new building. Under him, as Goddess Parvati, the daughter of the Himalayas is immortalized as the Divine Union of Lord Shiva.
The temple complex has three more temples. Lord Shri Raghunathji’s temple is at the other end of its courtyard, Shri Narasimhaji’s temple and Patala Bhairav ji (Lankara Veer) who is the evergreen servant of Bhimakali’s mother.

Sarahan used to be the summer capital of Bushehr the ancient state of India. The Bushhar dynasty previously controlled the kingdom from Kamaro. The rulers of the Bushhar state were governed from Rampur. Later it became the capital of Sonitpur. The construction style of the Sarahan Raj Mahal is a testimony to the tradition.

About 900 years ago this Adikaleen Temple was built. This temple is an excellent example of such a laterite architecture.
