The dragon wanted to submerge this place in water by stopping the flow of the river Beas by killing the dragon horoscope. So that all animals living here will die by drowning in water. Lord Shiva became concerned with this idea of Kulant.

After a long time, Lord Shiva took that demon-like dragon in his faith. Shiva said in his ear that your tail has caught fire. As soon as the patriarch died, his body turned into a huge mountain.

After killing the Kulant monster, Shiv asked Lord Indra to turn off the sky electricity at this place once in a year. So that when electricity fall, it will not harm the public. How to reach Bijali Mahadev temple?
You can reach Kullu easily and then after that you will get a bus from the bus stand for the Bijali Mahadev which goes to almost Chancer village. Or you can also take a private cab from Kullu taxi stand near the bus stand which takes from 500 to 600 rs. But for Bijali Mahadev will have to walk 3 kilometers from Chancer.
If you are healthy, you can also travel on foot from Kullu to Bijli Mahadev. Bijli Mahadev from Kullu is at a distance of about 20 km. This road is definitely very beautiful, you will find jungle and beautiful gardens and small villages along the way.

From the peak of the temple you can also see the huge and enchanting view of Parvati and Kullu valley. Whenever you look back from the peak, you will not see any higher peak around you.
